We do more for members

Since 1999, Superior HealthPlan has steadily grown into a statewide leader in healthcare, now offering nine unique products to more than 1.3 million members across Texas. Yet Superior’s purpose of transforming the health of the community, one person at a time, has remained unchanged.

With more than 1.3 million members, Superior puts members first. Here are just a few of their stories:

Quality. For a fifth straight year, Superior is among the top-rated Medicaid plans in Texas, earning a score of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale on the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2019-2020.

Member satisfaction. According to a 2017 survey, 93% of members said they were satisfied with customer service and 91% were happy with the health plan as a whole.

Focus on the individual. With more than 4,000 employees across eight Texas offices, Superior is focused on the members we serve in all 254 Texas counties.

Active local involvement. In 2018, Superior and its employees donated nearly $1 million to organizations that support members and individuals from low-income families and neighborhoods.

Community partnerships. Superior hosted or attended more than 3,600 events in a total of 242 cities in 2017 alone, all meant to support our members in communities all across Texas.

Dedication. There are more than 700 employees who have been at Superior for at least 5 years, the kind of consistency that positively impacts our members.
